The World Goes Pop @ Tate Modern
Opening today at Tate Modern: The World Goes Pop, an exhibition presenting less known – or, in many cases, virtually unknown – artworks linked to the Pop Art movement. While formally inspired by the pop aesthetics, the artists exhibited (most of them Eastern European, Asian, Latin American and/or Mid-Eastern) used the easily recognisable visual language in a more critical context.
